KAFU Freesbie Teams Continue Western League Dominance

JAN 31, 2023| The Tropical Rangers, the University's top Ultimate Frisbee team, claimed victory at the Western Ultimate League tournament held in Kisumu last weekend, solidifying their dominance in the region. The A-team defeated eight other teams from universities and county-level combinations in the western region to retain the trophy.

With the sport's growth, the KAFU team has been divided into the founding team (Tropical Rangers A) composed of fourth-year students and a junior team (Tropical Rangers B) made up of students in their first to third years of study. However, the juniors were defeated by Kisumu.
KAFU will host the next tournament on March 4th and 5th this year.

Sports play a significant role in enhancing the overall campus experience for students. Participating in sports can help build teamwork, leadership skills, and self-confidence. It also provides a healthy outlet for stress and allows students to connect with others who share similar interests. The University's commitment to promoting sports and providing opportunities for students to compete at a high level is a testament to the importance of physical activity in a well-rounded education. By participating in events such as the Western Ultimate League, students not only represent and market the University school but also gain valuable life experiences that they can carry with them beyond their time on campus.
