KAIMOSI UNIVERSITY'S CAREER AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP SEMINAR EQUIPS STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS

Kaimosi University once again demonstrated its commitment to providing quality education by organizing a comprehensive career and entrepreneurship seminar on April 5, 2024, at the University Assembly Hall. The event was opened by the acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic, Student Affairs & Research, Professor Julius Kipkemboi, who graciously represented the acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Mwita. Notable attendees included Dr. Caroline Mulinya, a Senior Lecturer from KAFU, Ms. Linda Mangeni, a Lecturer from the School of Education and Social Sciences, and Dr. Nyambane, head of careers, who served as the Master of Ceremony.

The distinguished Chief Guest, Dr. Oliver Minishi, renowned for his accolades including the Creative and Cultural Artists Welfare Associates (CCAWA) Hall of Fame induction Trophy and as the DOSHI brand ambassador, honored the event with his presence. Dr. Minishi's engaging discourse on career and entrepreneurship captivated the audience, evident from their enthusiastic reception of his achievements.

Ms. Linda Mangeni delivered an insightful session on resume writing and workplace relations, showcasing her expertise with explanations on various aspects. She emphasized the significance of optimism in achieving success and underscored the importance of maintaining professionalism in workplace relationships.

Dr. Caroline Mulinya navigated through the intricacies of job application procedures and interview etiquette with finesse, providing students with invaluable insights in a step-by-step manner. Alongside her guidance, she encouraged students to exude confidence and avoid appearing desperate during job interviews, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive demeanor and practicing proper etiquette throughout their career pursuits.

Overall, the career and entrepreneurship seminar at Kaimosi University proved to be an enriching experience, equipping the 4th year students with the knowledge, skills, and motivation needed to navigate the dynamic landscape of the job market successfully.
