On Thursday, July 10, 2025, the Member of Parliament for Hamisi Constituency, Hon. Gimose Charles Gumini, held a crucial meeting with Prof. Peter Mwita, the Vice Chancellor, at his office. He committed to supporting the installation of a 20-meter-high mast tower light within the university grounds.

This proposed high mast tower light is designed to be highly effective, capable of illuminating an area exceeding 600 meters. This initiative will undoubtedly improve security measures across a substantial portion of the university and its environs.
