Dr. Eric Okwako is a senior lecturer in the department of Curriculum and Instruction at Kaimosi Friends University.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PHD) in English Language Education(2011) from Moi University, a Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in English language (1994) from Moi University and a Bachelor of Education (B.E .D) Arts (English and Literature (1989) from Kenyatta University
Dr Eric Okwako began his teaching, research and community service in 1997 at Moi University as a Tutorial Fellow in the department of Communication Studies. He was interviewed and promoted to the position of lecturer in 1999. He applied for the position of lecturer in the department of Languages and Literature at the then Western University College of Science and Technology, a constituent collage of Moi University in 2003.In 2014 he was appointed chairman of the department of Languages and Literature at the then Kaimosi Friends University collage (KAFUCO).In 2018 he was appointed dean school of Education and Social Sciences .In January 2019 he was appointed acting Deputy Principal Academic and Students affairs at (KAFUKO).He held this position up to May 2021 when a substantive Deputy Principal Academic and Student Affairs was appointed. He was again appointed Dean School of Education and Social Sciences in May 2021.He held this position up to May 2022.Finally ,he was appointed acting Dean of Students in May2024. He held this position up to December 2024.
