The event brought together high-profile leaders including Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Dr. Jane Imbunya, and Hon. Charles Gimose, MP for Hamisi, alongside education stakeholders, county officials, staff, students, and local residents.

Speaking during the event, Prof. Amimo emphasized the importance of environmental stewardship as a shared responsibility, noting that institutions of learning must lead by example in advancing sustainability.

“Planting trees is more than a symbolic act, it is a long-term investment in our environment, our health, and the future of our children. As a university, we are committed to climate action and strengthening partnerships that will protect and restore our ecosystem for generations to come”, Said Prof. Amimo.
