Prof. Benson Oduor Ojwang has taught and researched in universities for over 25 years. He is a research grant winner of the meritorious Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP) of the University of London (2013-2018), a two-time Laureate of CODESRIA and a DAAD scholar. He has immense skills and capacities in research grant proposal writing, grant management, qualitative research methods, monitoring and evaluation, patent management, innovation and technology transfer processes, university policy development, university academic programme writing and postgraduate supervision. He is an internationally acclaimed conference and workshop facilitator. Besides being a consultant trainer in report writing, organizational communication and academic communication skills, he is well versed in language documentation and digital language analysis tools and software. He is an international keynote speaker and an experienced freelance English language manuscript editor. Extensively published in international refereed journals, he is also a peer reviewer of articles for several journals and an editorial board member of two journals. He has supervised several Masters and Ph.D students in several universities in Kenya.

Research interests:
Descriptive linguistics (Nilotic), semantics and pragmatics, health communication, applied linguistics, communication and media and documentation of endangered languages
